Vrindavan — The Eternal City of Radha & Krishna
Vrindavan is one of the most sacred towns in all of India — the forest where Lord Krishna spent his childhood and youth, playing with the Gopis, performing the Raas Leela, and enacting divine pastimes that have been sung in the Vedas for thousands of years. Located on the banks of the holy Yamuna, 8 km from Mathura, this small town holds over 5,000 temples within its ancient lanes.
Every corner of Vrindavan is soaked in bhakti. The narrow gallis echo with "Radhe Radhe," temple bells ring at every sunrise, and the air carries the fragrance of flowers offered to Bihari Ji. Whether you are a lifelong devotee or visiting for the first time, a private car with an experienced devotee driver is the best way to cover all the important temples without the stress of navigating unfamiliar lanes.
Vrindavan Temples Covered in Our Day Tour
Bankey Bihari Mandir
The most beloved Krishna temple in Vrindavan. The deity's curtain opens and closes every few minutes — a unique tradition meant to protect devotees from Bihari Ji's enchanting gaze. Established by Saint Haridas Ji in the 16th century.
Prem Mandir
A breathtaking white marble temple built by Kripalu Ji Maharaj. The 54-acre complex has life-size depictions of Krishna's leelas carved in marble. Especially magnificent after sunset when it lights up in gold and blue.
ISKCON Vrindavan
One of the largest ISKCON temples in India. Dedicated to Radha-Madanmohan and Gaura-Nitai, the temple offers free prasadam, kirtan, and a welcoming atmosphere for international visitors.
Nidhivan
A mystical grove believed to be where Radha-Krishna perform the Raas Leela every night even today. The trees here have intertwined branches that resemble dancing couples. Locals don't enter after sunset — an ancient tradition maintained till today.
Mata Vaishno Devi Mandir
A replica of the famous Vaishno Devi cave shrine, built within Vrindavan. Devotees who cannot make the Jammu trek come here for the same darshan. A unique and beautiful temple worth visiting.
Gokul — Nand Bhavan
Across the Yamuna, Gokul is where Krishna grew up with Nanda and Yashoda after being secretly brought here on the night of his birth. Nand Bhavan is the place of Krishna's childhood leelas. A deeply sacred and peaceful destination.
